No matter who you are, or where you are at on life’s journey, you are always welcome at East Brunswick Congregational Church, United Church of Christ.
Dear Friend,
I enthusiastically invite you to visit East Brunswick Congregational Church on any upcoming Sunday. Worship begins at 10:30 with those of all ages gathered. During the hymn before the sermon, children leave for Christian Education in a separate wing of the church. At approximately 11:30, both the worship service and Christian Education conclude, and our church family gathers for refreshments and fellowship.
More information is elsewhere on this web site. The dynamic preaching relates the Biblical texts to everyday life and to the world. The liturgy is participatory, with Passing of the Peace and Sharing of Joys and Concerns a regular way worship attendees join in each Sunday. And our music program is spectacular: our organist has a Ph.D. in music! Feel free to contact me as indicated below should you have any questions or concerns before deciding whether to visit.
I can assure you that should you accept this invitation to visit, you will be warmly and unconditionally welcomed! Our denomination, the United Church of Christ, has undertaken a national campaign called “God Is Still Speaking.” It seeks to invite and welcome any who are not currently participating in a church. Our research indicates that many such “unchurched” people stay away for fear of not being accepted and welcomed if they decide to visit a church.
Therefore, a central slogan of our “God Is Still Speaking” Campaign is the one at the top of this letter.
East Brunswick Congregational Church has voted unanimously to participate in the God Is Still Speaking Campaign. As part of our participation, we are reaching out to invite visitors in a variety of ways, including the Internet.
There are no obligations or commitments involved in your decision to visit. Our outreach is invitational, not forced or pressured. We pray that you will accept this invitation to visit our worship and get to know us, as we hope to get to know you.
Sincerely,
The Rev. Robert Moore
Pastor
